This crowdfunding project has ended, but you can still support Men's Rugby online. Thank you for your continued support!
We will be playing in the national championships at Infinity Park in Glendale Colorado on April 29th and 30th!
Though we receive funding from Tufts for in-season travel, the trip to Colorado to compete nationally is an expensive endeavor, and the costs of this trip fall on the team and its players. The funds we raise will help us cover our expenses, to pay for flights, hotels, meals, travel vans and gear expenses. Your contribution will help send us to the National Championship!
Our Season in Review:
Tufts Rugby won the 2016-2017 Men’s Champions Cup this past fall taking home the title of Northeast Division NSCRO (National Small College Rugby League) Champions. After a 5-1 regular season, we lost to University of Maine early in playoffs. After beating Ithaca College and SUNY Plattsburgh, we were given another chance to enter the April Championship bracket. In a hard fought rematch against University of Maine, we recovered from a 0-7 halftime deficit to edge out a final 22-7 victory. We played some of our best rugby when it mattered most and every player contributed to the win. After winning the regional championship, NSCRO named us the number 2 team in the country out of 186 participating programs.
Our first match against the Mid-Atlantic South Region Champion at 12pm on April 29th can be seen at the stadium or via a televised live-stream. We hope to see many of you in Colorado and we can't wait to bring home a national championship!
We need your help!
We are hoping to fund fully the expenses of the national championship for all players. Any contribution to our cause helps, even 5 dollars brings us a little closer to our goal! We appreciate everyone who makes a donation or supports our club in any way.
Thank you to the coaches, parents, alumni and fans for all of your support this season. You are what makes the Tufts Men's Rugby Team so special. Thank you! Go JUMBOS!
