A message of gratitude from a Cummings Hardship Fund Student Recipient

April 17, 2020

The Cummings Student Hardship Fund is just $540 away from our goal of $15,000! Funds have already been distributed to hard-working students who needed immediate assistance with rent, childcare, utilities, and groceries due to their lost income. Please take a moment to share this page with any friends who may be interested in helping us hit our goal and address the remaining student need.

Messages of gratitude have been pouring in. Please enjoy this note from a V23 student recipient:

Thank you to the donors and organizers of the Student Hardship Fund. As a recipient of the fund, I can tell you that this money has greatly helped to offset the financial burden of the pandemic. Cummings School never fails to support the students; the school has once again demonstrated its commitment to the wellbeing of the student body. To organize and donate to this fund through these unprecedented times clearly demonstrates the compassionate nature of our community.

We are grateful for your support and friendship during this uncertain time!

Cummings students receiving help now - thanks to you!

April 02, 2020

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your gift to the Cummings Student Unexpected Hardship Fund. We have been touched by the generosity of our friends, alumni, parents, and staff over the past two weeks. We’ve raised nearly $10,000 to date, which will directly support students facing unexpected financial hardship in light of COVID-19.

We are glad to report that the financial award process is underway, even as we continue to fundraise towards our overall goal of $15,000. Students have been invited to apply for immediate help. Dean Cribb looks forward to sharing an update with you soon, as we translate your generosity into tangible relief for those who need it.

These unexpected challenges have brought out the best in the members of our community. Thank you for rallying around our students – our future.

With gratitude and well wishes, Cummings Advancement Team
