The Tufts Men's Club Soccer B team is going to nationals! After finishing the season with a record of 7-2-2, our team was one of the 7 wild-card teams, along with the 17 divisional winners, to get an invitation to the regional tournament in Conshohocken, PA. Along with the A team, we drove down to PA and were placed in a group with Sacred Heart University, Georgetown University, and University of Delaware. Seeded last in the regional tournament, the team surmounted the odds, which were overwhelmingly stacked against them, by beating the first seeded team, University of Delaware, in the whole tournament. A win against Sacred Heart University and a tie against Georgetown put the team through to the quarterfinals, where we defeated Temple University 3-0 and advanced to play against the Tufts A team in the semi-finals, with the winner securing a trip to Nationals in Texas. In a high-intensity match, Tufts B was able to win 2-0 and earn a trip to Nationals in Texas for the first time in B team history.
We now need your help to keep this unprecedented, cinderella story going! All contributions will go towards funding the Tufts B club soccer team's trip to Texas to compete in this year's Nationals tournament, which includes flights, hotels, rental vehicles, registration fees, and food while in Texas. Now, the goal of the team is to progress as far as possible in the Nationals tournament and proudly showcase that Tufts has one of the best soccer programs in the country. Every small contribution will be helpful in letting this motivated and hardworking group of players achieve these dreams.
Thank you to our parents, alumni, and fans for all of your support this season. Thank you and Go JUMBOS!
